Ensemble Callinos
The flute, cello, and piano is an inherently lyrical formation and the name Callinos aims to represent this. It is a combination of the names Calliope, the muse of poetry, and Linos, master of the lyre.
Composed of Edyelwys Silva, Thomas Chartré, and Jeanne Frenette, Ensemble Callinos presents major works for this unique formation as well as original transcription of canonical repertoire. Socially engaged, Ensemble Callinos strives to bring music to all audiences through diverse and original projects. Since its foundation in 2022, it has given concerts in partnership with various organizations that support vulnerable communities, such as Share the Warmth, le Chaînon, and CHSLD VIGI-Reine-Elisabeth.
