Precocious 14-year old pianist to tour Atlantic Canada!
HALIFAX, NS – At age seven, Canadian pianist Anastasia Rizikov made her orchestral debut performing Polunin’s Concertino in A minor with the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, conducted by Mykola Diadiura. Now 14, Anastasia is showing signs of being “one to watch”. She is currently performing solo concerts in major US cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Binghamton, New York, New Jersey, and Washington.
Anastasia’s tour will feature two varied programs. These programs include famous works such as Beethoven’s “Appassionata”, Liszt’s La Campanella, and Ondine from Ravel’s Gaspard de la nuit.
Ms. Rizikov has won first prize in many international competitions including the Rotary International Piano Competition in Spain, the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in the USA which lead to a Carnegie Hall debut, and the Vladimir Horowitz International Young Pianists Competition in the Ukraine to name a few. Nationally, Anastasia won first place in both the Canadian Music Competition and the Canadian Chopin Competition.
Anastasia studies with award-winning Master of Music Maia Spis, at the Nadia Music Academy in Toronto. In addition to her passion for the piano, she loves reading, animals, shopping, and treasures her friendships.
