«Roadtrip!» The return of the pan-Canadian tour
Montreal, Monday, October 4, 2021 – Following the great success of the inaugural tour in 2019-2020, Debut Atlantic, JM Canada and Prairie Debut are pleased to announce the return of the Pan-Canadian tour “Roadtrip!” for the 2023-2024 season. For this second edition, the three organizations will once again combine their expertise in the presentation of classical music and offer to a Canadian artist or ensemble the opportunity to perform an exceptional pan-Canadian tour.
This second edition of the pan-Canadian tour will take place from September 2023 to June 2024 and will include approximately thirty-five dates across Canada and the Territories. Additionally, artists will enrich their artistic experience through varied educational and community-based outreach initiatives.
A FIRST MEMORABLE EDITION
In its first edition, the duo meagan&amy, consisting of violinist Amy Hillis and pianist Meagan Milatz, presented their recital Jonctions in 45 communities across 10 provinces, reaching thousands of listeners.
‘The pan-Canadian tour has been the experience of a lifetime. Setting foot in so many places across the country in the span of just a few months has given me a better sense of the extraordinary diversity of Canadians and their livelihoods. Each concert felt different and memorable because of the unique energy from each audience. As the tour went along, I found more and more that one of the things that I looked forward to the most with each concert was the chance to talk with our audience members at the end. I will cherish this experience of sharing music with people across Canada for the rest of my life’, said Meagan Milatz.
