Welcome our new Program Officer, Elizabeth Upson Perez!

Debut Atlantic is thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Upson Perez as Program Officer.
Having worked in the area of Arts Administration since 2007, Elizabeth has helped develop and implement numerous programs throughout the United States. Most recently, she was the ArtsPath Coordinator for Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation competition where her efforts helped increase participation by over fifty percent. She has worked as the Assistant to the Artistic Director for both the University of Iowa String Quartet Residency Project and the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival. She holds degrees from Indiana University and East Carolina University in Viola Performance, with outside concentration in Arts Administration and Chamber Music Entrepreneurship.
As a violist, Elizabeth has most recently performed with the Music Room Chamber Players Series in Halifax, NS. Previously, Elizabeth was the violist for the Center for New Music Ensemble and performed with multiple symphony orchestras in the US. As an avid chamber musician, she has performed alongside artists including Michael Kannen, Hye-Jin Kim, Xiao-Dong Wang, Nicholas Cords and Natasha Brofsky as part of the Four Seasons Chamber Music Festival Next Generation concert series.
Executive Director Erin Sparks says “Elizabeth’s vast knowledge of the industry is backed by her dual backgrounds in performance and arts management. She has a deep understanding of artists and a passion for classical music. I could not be more excited to have her be part of the Debut team. Welcome Elizabeth!”
